what if....
a police car had its sirens on and was chasing another guy. a police car rams into the theif and the theifs car smashes into my car. i pulled over to the right and stopped because of the sirens. who is gonna pay for the damages to my car?

Possibly no one.
The thief isn't going to pay, they're in jail.
The cops don't have to pay, because it's not like they drove into your car.
Plus, they could easily state that you should have heard the sirens and gotten out of the way. Obviously, you did not do that well enough.
So, looks like it'd just be your insurance paying for it. |

You will probably have to file a lawsuit against the city/county/state. Yes it was the thief's fault, but the police officer's negligence in causing the wreck is also partly to blame. |

the thief should pay..when he gets out of jail. the police should have all his information since he was arrested. |

the thief is responsible for everything, if someone had died in the crash he would be charged with murder. |

Simply turn this in to your insurance company. They will go after the thief but if they can't collect from him, you will have to use your own (collision) insurance |
