a boyfriend and i purchased a car together under my name (he had a repossession on his credit history)...yes i know, a stupid move for me to sign for a car for him.i regret it quite a bit now...especially since we've recently broken up and his payments have been consistently late. anywho, i wanted to know that although the contract/loan for the car is in my name, is there anyway i can have the insurance changed to his name? i know the answer is most likely no since the loan for the car is in my name. but i was just curious if theres anyone that may know. im going to call the insurance company tomorrow and see what they say but i just wanna see if neone has any answers now. thanx :-)

No. since it is financed, the fiance company won't let you do that. If there was no loan, it may be possible in some USA states, with some companies.
