hi does anyone know a good company for car insurance for young males in the UK and does anyone know any good techniques of getting it cheap ie more drivers etc.
also does the quote of the companys like more than, direct line etc. be accurate online or does it be different prices when you phone because for more than, i get a quote of about £800 online but direct line is about £1500???

If you add your parents on to your license as named drivers this will lower your preminum, buy online as this is nearly always cheaper! I've found Elephant, Admiral & Churchill to be the cheapest for me. |

I have recently scoured everywhere for my 17 year old son. Don't be fooled by Quinn insurance they charge about 900 and then when you pass another 1000. Endsleigh insurance cost me 1900 for a polo and it depends on what car you have. There really are no hints or tips to get it cheaper although some charge a tine bit less for having a named driver on the insurance. Taking your pass plus within one month of your insurance can give you a 20% discount. One thing I would add is that when you get a quote of one go to another and tell them the price they will beat it!! |

Over the phone isnt the best way to go - takes to much time. Online sites are the greatest because you can plug your information in and get a quote quick and easy. Doesnt take long and you can really save some money.

express insurance are gd and quinn are really cheap *edit* my fiance was with them when he was learning and after he passed and 2yrs on he is still with them and with 2 accidents his insurance on a sportKa 1.6 is only £1000 so try Quinn.
also any insurance companys put there prices up by loads when people pass as there is nobody sitting next to them to tell them if its right or wrong. |

You will be looking to spend around £1500 I would think because of your age, you can take a pass plus course which I believe reduces your insurance with some companies. Isn't it possible for you to be a named driver on a parents insurance? mind you, my dad rang to have me put on his policy and I have been driving for yonks and I have never had an accident and they wanted to charge him nearly £100 for 6 months, I only pay £156 for the year - cheeky s*ds! |
