how long will it be on there an am i still able to drive the car aswell since 5 o'clock on friday....

i mean how long does it take to be put on the insurance database as im worried about havin my vechile taken off me as ive had my policy since 5 o'clock friday evening an its not on the insurance data base as it keeps coming up red not green?????

The Askmid database is usually updated within 24 hours of insurance being taken out, but it can take up to 5 working days.
There is a possibility that your registration details have been entered incorrectly on their website, so make sure that your policy shows the correct registration details.
Another possibility is that they are just running behind - this time of year sees a lot of new cars coming onto the roads and there will be a backlog.
Check your paperwork, and ensure that your payment has been debited correctly. |

If you have insurance then you should be able to prove it as soon as the insurance company sends you a certificate of insurance.
In the UK cops can phone the insurance company from the roadside to check what you are telling them is correct if you do not have documents with you and it is not on a database yet. |

EDIT:
You have insurance as soon as you have paid for it. You say that you bought the insurance on Friday, normally the insurance company database will be updated on the friday night and the output infomation passed to askmid for their next database upgrade would probably be Sunday night and the details should show today (Monday).
If you were stopped in the interim, you would show the police your insurance certificate and they have contact with all insurance companies so would be able to verify the details. |
