Im a 50 year old male looking to find full comprehensive car insurance (in Australia) for my new 2006 xr6 turbo, that will allow a 20 year old driver to occasionally drive and be also covered.
Looking forward to your response.
PS I cannot drive at times due to health reasons and that is why I need my son to drive).

Hello
If they are the same as here U.K then you should be able to add him as a named driver to your existing policy, most companies only charge an admin fee.
As long you are the main driver and drive it most of the time you will be legal, If your son becomes the main driver then the policy must be in his name.
The latest thing here is that some insurance companies will credit the named driver with their own No Claims Bonus which would help him reduce his premiums when he does start his own insurance. You will be better asking a broker about it as if it is available out there and you decide to get one of those policies you may have to change who you are insured with.
