Car insurance? one sum?

I'm buying my first car in a couple of days an wondered if I could pay the one sum for the insurance or if I HAVE to pay monthly?

for example one came up at like £110 monthly an then next to it had something like.. £2,559 or something stupid like that

so could I just pay the £2,559 upfront or would I have to pay it monthly?

You have a choice to pay as you want. Some people prefer to pay it in installments as they might not have the full amount.
Paying it in full does give you some discount.

Of course you can pay the annual premium in one hit. In fact, in most cases this will save you money as most monthly payment plans will have interest added.
