When I was 17 my parents would not put me on there policy.
I found a company in Texas that was affordable and would cover me.
I paid $60 a month for full coverage.

As I know they have lowest rates for teens and first time drivers.

If you live with your parents, try their company first; you'll get a multi-car discount, and you have the clout of their coverage on your side. Just be sure to drive safely and intelligently so as not to jeopardize their policy.
If you're not at home, you'll need to try several agents/companies for quotes, but be ready for some nasty figures. You'll probably need to stay in the non-standard ("high risk") market for several years due to your age and lack of experience, but there's no way around that. |

Alot of my friends went with quinn as it was the cheapest for them, but i got a quote and norwich simple cover was cheaper for me, but i had a 1.6 golf so it wasnt the cheaest of cars to insure,
If you have the extra £500 for insurance i would reccomend getting a 1.6 or 1.4 minimum, as my girlfriend got a 206 1.1 £500 cheaper than my 1.6 but the proformance on a 1.1 was terrible, i found it dangerous driving her car as it was so slow trying to join motorways at 50mph |
