You may be able to, it depends on your insurance policy. Some insurers state that the vehicle must have it's own insurance for you to use your 'drive other cars' (DOC) extension and some will only allow you to use it in emergencies.
The only way to find out is to read your insurance small print or call your insurance company.
Don't forget, if you are covered and drive an uninsured car using your DOC extension, then technically you are not allowed to leave it unattended (parked) on a public highway, as all vehicles on the road must be insured, and once you leave the vehicle it's then uninsured, as the DOC cover only applies while you are in the car.
Also, you are likely to get stopped by the police as when their ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras spot the car, it will be flagged as uninsured. |

Yes you can drive it legally if it isn`t insured elsewhere, unless otherwise stated on your policy.
The best thing to do though, is to call your insurers and check, that way there will be no doubt. |

No, you cannot. You can only drive it if it's already insured, and if you read your policy you'll see that in any case you may only drive it "in an emergency". |

No. You can only drive any INSURED car. If it has no insurance of any kind, then your insurance doesn not cover you either. |

In the UK, yes. If you have fully comp insurance yourself you can drive other vehicles third party only on your insurance with the owners permission. |
