Car insurance question about my 17 year old.?

I want to get a second car and let my 17 year old drive it.
I am trying to find a car insurance company that will let me have every thing in my name and have her as the principal driver of my second car.
The problem I am having is she is moving down the street.
I can not find a car insurance company that will let me have what is called a different garage adress on the car I am wanting to let her use.
I am in the state and I have tryed all most all the car insurances companys around here and online.
I have even tryed to have things put in her name but it would cost her around 300$ dollars a month to insurance it. And that is just the basic insurance. That is why i want to just keep everything in my name
Any idea's would help.
And not I not going to lie and just have her drive it and move and not let the insurance company she is driving it.

Booge~~ Let her stay at home.? Are you under the impress that I am making her move.? NO. She is move in her own.
And if you knew my daughter you would know I can make her do ANYTHING.

Can't be done. She will be living out of the house and since she will be the principal driver the risk factor is very high. My daughter is listed on my policy, both cars are at my house and I have her rated or listed on only one of the vehicles as a secondary driver. Adding her to policy caused my rates to double which was acceptable.
Just understand that if she is the principal driver of the car and does not live with you there is no way to reduce the cost of her having insurance - tell her that she either lives at home for a while longer, or she has to pay the cost to insure the vehicle. |

This situation is not possible...at least at the auto company I had worked at. The vehicles have to be registered and kept at your address and your daughter's license must also be at your address. The only exception made was kids away at school. Your daughter is going to have to get her own policy. You don't want to risk it and have a claim denied if you put her on your policy. |

Do you keep a room for her at home?...if so..then she lives at home and is only "staying" at the other place where she will be. I dont see it being a problem, her being on your insurance as a primary driver and not fully living at home. Lets say she was going to college and staying in a dorm, is that any different? She still lives at home. But anyway, good luck with your rates. 17 year olds insurance rates are rediculous. |

Honey give it up. If you've tried all the insurance companies and they all keep telling you the same thing over and over and over then there's your answer. It's not possible. This is simply a regulation.
I would love to be able to find a bank that I can withdraw money from, without having an account but THAT'S not possible either. |
