When do you have to pay the excess for your car going in for repair? had a slight accident at the weekend, do you have to pay before your car is repaired?

Well regardless i will have to pay my excess because the damage is alot more than the excess just curious when they will ask for it

Check on the terms of your policy and you will have to pay the excess when you pay the repairer. |

You pay the excess when you pick up your vehicle from the repair garage. You can choose which garage you use but most of the time its easiest to go through the insurers nominated garage.
You should be able to get a courtesy car from the garage but make sure you tell them this a few days before when you book it in.
If someone else was to blame for the accident you will be able to claim your excess back from their insurers. |

your car will go to your insurers nominated repair shop to witch you take it and (if you have a good policy pick up courtesy car)you will then be contacted by repair shop when you car is ready you then take back courtesy car then pay you excess and drive you car away job done!!! |
