I bought a car yesterday, it has MOT an I insured it when i bought it. The cars currently SORN and whenever I ring up to tax it the automated machine keeps telling me i have no insurance and the online thing is telling me the same. Whenever I try to get through to speak to a person all the lines say that the office is closed due to bad weather conditions and I havent recieved my cover note to tax it at a post office. Would I have a leg to stand on in court if I was pulled over driving or would I have to take the punishment they gave me?

Tax the car showing registration document, MoT & Certificate of insurance. The SORN document has a section for you to do such. Your local post office will be glad to advise you. |
