Pulled over in a car with no license, registration and the driver had a suspended license.. automobile was towed. How can he get his car released from the towing company. His license is suspended for 5 citations (36 more days) so he CANNOT get it reinstated. And therefore cannot get insurance without registration. This is in Massachusetts. He asked the towing company if he could have his car towed from them but they said NO... what is he supposed to do now? leave it there for the remainder of his license suspension!? Thanks!

turns out... we had the car towed out of there today. They had to call the state for approval and it was approved. It has to be towed out. Only things to observe, it has to be towed out by an appropriately licensed towing company and your plates will be confiscated. Phseeww, its not easy leaving your M3 in a tow yard.

As you found out, you can have the holds released by contacting the state. Then it's just a matter of paying the tow company for towing and storage and having your vehicle towed or trailered out. |

All fees must be paid. Car registered and insured and registered owner must be able to legally drive the vehicle away. If you can not produce ALL items, car will sit in impound until you can pay or it will go to auction for fees due.
What do you expect for driving an unregistered car without a license! Driving is a privilege, not a right. |
