7 years hard labour and 10,000 fine. Even that isn't enough. What if you would have been responsible for an accident in which a young family lost their bread-winner. With no insurance they would get very little compensation from the criminal injustices fund. Whilst you come on here with a little smiling avatar.

No insurance 6 to 8 points plus fine.For your information there is no such thing as an international licence, it is actually an international driving permit,which is purely a translation of the licence you hold in whatever country you have the licence for.

You are only allowed to drive on your full foreign licence for 1 year from entry to UK,unless it is a full EU licence or a licence from some of the commonwealth countries.

hopefully you will learn the lesson that ignorance of the law is not an excuse and that it is totally unacceptable to drive a vehicle in this country without the correct licence and insurance.

As Ivor B says, there's no such thing as an "international licence", all it is is a translation of whatever licence you do have. I take it therefore that you are also being done for driving without a valid licence. That will gain you a hefty fine plus 3 - 6 points.

With your demonstrated disregard for the requirements of the law you may well find your licence removed and have the pleasure of community service too. The courts are getting fed up with this sort of thing.

I really hope that it is much more than you are expecting, if you hit my car I would have to claim off of my insurance and maybe lose my no claims bonus, this is bad enough but whenever I renew my car insurance I would then have to state that I have made a claim and this could cost me more money for up to five years, in my opinion, no insurance should be an automatic ban and a large fine, be legal or don`t drive.
