Hey im looking for a car to buy and insure that will cost next to nothing. Im 18 and want to build up my no claims, im not actualy going to use the car. it will more than likly sit in my mates yard and not move. But it will make my future cars cheaper to insure. I was thinking somthing like a fiat 500? or maybe a micra?
Any suggestions appreciated...i want it cheap as possible :D

If your talking about just liability coverag (basic coverage) the cheapest cars to insure will be newew american cars. Specifically minivans and sedands, not sports cars. American cars are cheaper because they are cheaper to fix and stolen less often.
An old fiat 500 would actually be more expensive than a brand new Ford Focus (liability only) because new cars have airbags and anti-lock brakes which gives you a discount.
If you cant or dont want to pay for a new car, try to get a car that has ABS and airbags. That will lower the cost of the liability insurance. |

Get yourself a two-wheel-drive compact pickup truck. they're the cheapest by class to insure.
