Convicted of DUI in employer's vehicle. Who's insurance will be affected?

Probably both. Yours for sure, but whether the Employer's rates will go up (and how much) depends on the policy and the number of employees that are covered under that policy.

Yours will definitely go up and possibly your employers. Your employers insurance company takes a look at the driving record of all of their drivers. Your employers insurance company may exclude you as a driver. It will depend on the company.

Depends on what stae you are in........ but generally you are the one who was cited and that is part of your license and your insurance is affected!

I don't think it matters who's car you were driving. It was your DUI, you will be the one getting tagged.

Now if your employer was in the car with you and allowed you to drive under the influence or had knowledge of your intoxication and did nothing to stop you from driving, that's a different story.

Just because someone else holds title to the car does not make them liable for your stupidity.

any violation will be on your motor vehicle record (unless dismissed by the court or taken care of in traffic school, too bad theres no traffic school for a DUI) regardless of what/whose vehicle you were operating. in CA this will effect you for 3 years on your insurance premium and will remain on your MVR for 10 years. not sure of any other state. good luck.

the DUI is still yours.
As long as it wasn't a DUI with an accident and your employer FIRED you, their rates shouldn't be affected.
If by some miracle you weren't fired, then I bet your employers insurance rate would go up.

Your insurance will be affected & your license will be suspended. Your insurance will go up considerably. Also, I am sure your employer will no longer be letting you drive a company car. If your employer doesn't insist on it his insurance company will & probably will exclude you from coverage.

It's on your licence, boyo, the vehicle wasn't drinking, you were. The employer's insurance will only go up if you aren't excluded as a driver on his vehicles for at least 3 years.
