thanx for the laugh...............the only way to beat it, is if there is a material fault in the ticket.......I won't tell you what that is tho' because you sound like you deserve a ticket........ |

No. They don't have to ask you for that. YOU, on the other hand, broke the seatbelt law. Pay the fine and move on. |

LOL! did you get the idea that they have to ask for that from the insurance Commercial? |
|

Dennis S
|
No. Why would that be a reason to dismiss a completely unrelated charge?
Your best bet is to go to court and hope the cop no-shows; the charge will be dismissed. You can call the city attorney/ commonwealths attorney and ask for a continuance; if they agree, this will increase the chance of the officer no-showing,
Were you not wearing a seat belt as the law requires? No? then just pay the ticket... |

No, now that we are living in the world of technology, all states have your Insurance info & Registration tied to your license plate number. He did not need to see your paper copies as he could pull all of your current registration & insurance info up on his computer. |

no, this is not a valid defense. You would be required to show him these documents if he asked for them, but he is not required to ask for them. Its not worth the fight anyway, cause the judge will ask if you werent wearing it, and if you say no your getting the ticket |

No, you still broke the law by not wearing your seat belt. He is not required to see any of the other information, unless he sees a reason to. |

No. The are allowed to ask for that stuff - it is not required. |

No you cannot. Whether or not he asked for that information doesn't mean you still did not break the law by not wearing a seat belt. |

bobby769, There are tons of websites where you can get an online quote. http://www.multipleautoinsurancequotes.com It only takes roughly 10 minutes to do. |

What in the world would cause you to believe that a ticket is invalid because you weren't asked for registration or insurance?
I see absolutely no logic in your question. |

Good luck with that, I mean you can try, but I really doubt that that would be considered a technicality.
They are probably handing tickets out like crazy to help pay their salaries. It is happening that way in California. |

Yes, it's the dumb cop's fault. |
