I am on my parents car insurance stuff, and I was getting ready to get married, but we don't live together-so does he have to get added on the policy too?

no were not married yet, were getting married july 13th, and were not going to live together yet, lol weird I know-but I want to wait till fall semester is over that way I am not overly stressed moving out of my parents house and getting married

You can exclude him from that policy, but beware if he does drive that car, he would not be covered by your insurance. Also, making a statement that his physical address is not the same as your's, may reduce your premium, as that would indicate that he doesn't have free access to the auto. Ask your agent what your best options are. |

Nope, if you get you're own insurance though its usually cheaper if you're married and both on it. The only thing is that he wont be covered if he's driving. |

So, you aren't yet married, and aren't living together, how is he your spouse? I presume you are on your parents' insurance because you are still living at home? If you have moved out, you should not be on the parents' policy, but your own.
When you are living together, if he has a licence, you will have to add him, married or not. |

As long as he's not driving the car its ok not include him on the insurance policy. But if time will come that you will live together or he wiil be driving your car much better to include him on the insurance policy of the car. Boy friend and girlfriend no problem, but when your married... If he's driving your car he needs to be on your insurance. Your insurance co could turn down your claim thinking your not telling the whole truth and then he'd have a driving with no insurance on his license and that's a whole different can of worms. |
