Your insurance company may do it a couple of different ways. One is that you take it to their adjuster. Or a person that works for them, that will look at your car then give you an estimate of damage then the insurance company will pay you that amount, less your deductible. The other way they may pay is when you take it to a repair shop the insurance company will send a check to the shop for the amount of the repair, minus your deductible. I prefer that the adjuster looks at my car, I get the check for what it would cost for a shop to fix it, then I fix it my self and pocket the difference. |

No, you don't. Submit the claim, they'll ask where you would like to have your vehicle repaired at or can refer you to a body shop they work direct with. |

no...they will ask where you wanna take it and the shop will give them est. and then u just pay deductible unless you have a high deduct and the damage is less than that... |

No. Call your insurer NOW to report the incident. They will instruct you to get quotes (not estimates), for repair. Don't get the repairs carried out without their consent, otherwise they have no obligation to pay! |
