If it is not a rental car, and you are not going to return to the UK, then it is a matter between you and you conscience. Do you consider paying a governmental fine to be important?
If it is a rental, or a friends car, pay it because the fine will either be charged back to your credit card with a service fee by the rental company, ot in the case of a borrowed car, charged to the owner who was kind enough to loan you the car.
If it was me, I would have to balance the pros and cons of paying, and the risks involved. If you owned the car, and are not returning, I would "forget" to pay, |

Did you rent a car? if so, did you give the rental firm any credit card details? If you did then they will pay the fine and charge it to your credit card. |

Why should you pay it? Do like a lot of the foreign immigrants do in this country. Drive about with no M.O.T,no insurance and no road tax! A lot of them buy their cars at the auctions and dont even register them with the DVLA. Let us Brits subsidise you. |

If you were given a parking fine, it is because you broke the rules. Would you like it if we came to your country and did the same.
By visiting another country for whatever reason, you are morally obliged to follow the rules and regulations of that country.
So in short, pay up! |

Hello
The right answer is yes
But
It depends who the car is registered to, as they are the ones the police will chase for payment and stop every-time they go out until you pay it.
You do realise it doubles every 28 days and can end up with the bailiffs taking anything they want from the car owners house to cover the fine and there charges if you do not pay?
