Do I include a claim on car insurance that wasnt claimed through myinsurance or my fault?

when looking for car insurance it asks have you made a claim in the last 3 years, however i did have an accident but it wasnt my fault and no money was claimed through my carinsurance only through the other persons. So have I madea claim well no not through my insurance so I dont see why I should include it and my insurance go up whn it never cost my insurance company anything. help please

In most states, if you were not at fault, it should not count against you. The question asks if you filed a claim, you did not.
