Do I need car insurance on my car if im not driving it?

Do I need my car insured in Arizona if i'm not driving it and its paid off?

I suggest you visit a local car insurance agent to help. Since I live in Rhode Island I can't suggest an agent in Arizona, but here is an website that can help you. http://www.usinsuranceadvisor.com/Auto-Insurance.html

Good Luck!

Different companies have different names for it, something like storage insurance. It is pretty cheap and covers you in case someone lights it on fire or something.

Yes even though your not the one who's driving it is much better to have car insurance because you'll never know what might going to happed.

I'm pretty sure. I think it's illegal here not to have car insurance. My dad has his car insured, and it's paid off.

In California you have to register the car with the DMV either non-operational or non-use. Call the Arizona DMV to see what they say.

Comprehensive coverage is for theft and vandalism. It is good to have on cars that are just sitting.

you need insurance you drive it on the road, not to showcase it in your driveway :)

Technically, yes. You are required by law to insure a registered vehicle in AZ. If you cancel your insurance, the insurance company will notify the state - who will suspend your registration. Check with the AZ MVD and see if there is a procedure for taking a vehicle out of service.

In California, you have to have the state minimum required limit of 15/30/5 in order to keep the registration of your active active.
They will suspend your registration and fine you if you do not.
If you do not use the car AT ALL, meaning its just parked on your driveway, you can register it as "non-operable", and that way avoid paying for insurance.

If it's registered under your name yes.

If it is parked and never driven you can take everything off if you want to but I would keep just comprehensive on it.

Note to Zanthus: A showcase is an object not something you do. A better word would be "showoff"
