I moved to UK. My car has german plates. Do I need to change it to english ones.

Yes, if you are going to in UK as a temporary resident you need to contact DVLA Swansea to register your vehicle in the UK . UK Insurance and Road Excise Tax will also be required. Don't delay or you will be comitting serious offences.
DVLA have a website with full information. Forms are also downloadable. An MoT test is required on vehicles 3 years or more old. The vehicle MUST comply with UK Construction & Usage Laws; it must conform with UK law. Lighting is an immediate issue since the car is left hand drive - headlights beam the opposite way! A workshop/garage can advise you.
Make sure you use your mirrors lots since you are sitting on the wrond side! |

yes u do - u need the register the car with the dvla and they will issue u a license plate number - once they have told u ur uk number plate u need to get the plates made up from a garage - not too pricey prob about £30ish id imagine
u have 30 days from the car entering the country in which u can insure it etc on the chassis number |
