Do I owe anything after my car insurance expired?

Here is the situation...
My car insurance expired on Dec of 08 and I got the auto renewal of the first year of 09. I didn't pay for the renewal insurance for 2 months because I moved to a different state and I just signed up for a different car insurance, now do I owe anything for my old/renewal car insurance? Thank you for helping =)

Are you seriously telling us you drove for 2 months with no insurance?
Since it was an auto-renewal, you very likely were billed, then cancelled for non-payment after a statutory number of days. If that is the case, you are lucky your new insurer didn't turn it up in a records check, it is a black mark on your record, and you do owe money. If it wasn't an auto-renewal, just a notice to renew, then you had no insurance as of midnight on your expiry, a lapse on your record, and extreme luck you didn't have an accident, or other loss.
Either way, how did you take your car when you moved, if you had no insurance? |
