Only if they take the time to find out if it was.
Which they are not legally required to do.
More importantly, seeing as you're the buyer, it's not like you're unable to look it up yourself....
it's right along there with having your own mechanic inspect it, before buying it.
It just makes sense to do. And so many people refuse to.... |

no, however, if a vehicle is damaged enough to be "totalled" by an insurance company, it requires a new title which states it was a total at one time . legal to sell.but must be disclosed. carfax isnt 100% but damn good. im a 35yr ase master tech, and i used carfax with my last used car purchase. |

Yes, but many times they don't know it themselves. People trade-in vehicles all the time that have been crashed and repaired and never inform the dealers. |
