As a driving instructor I would say don't bother, if you put P or reen L plates on you are seen as a learner by other drivers and it is a red rag to a bull, when you were learning to drive you saw how bad other drivers were and I feel sure as a new driver you will be 100 times better. |

Not here in the UK- i take it as you are on the UK board you are in the UK. Its better too though because it just makes older drivers aware that you may still be a bit shaky. |

not really.. i passed 15 years ago now..
but it's handy for other drivers to know .. I always keep a bit back from new drivers , truth been told.
i was on the motorway last night, someone was coming in... i slowed down to let them in.. idiot was doing 30mph..
and no I couldn't go out to the middle lane as their was traffic there. |

I don't think so - I know I never did. I think they're more optional in case you want other drivers to be aware you're a new driver and to have more patience with you (it doesn't work though! lol) |
