Yes they will. My current insurer did last year when I took out my current policy. They asked me to send off my renewal note from my previous insurer to them so they could verify my no claims discount |

I agree with Happy, it depends on insurance company. In my case they did not ask for one, they asked who my previous insurer was and i believed my insurer confirmed my no few years no claim. |

if you are a new customer to them they will ask you for written proof of no claims bonus. if you have already got a policy with them or an associate of theirs they may not require one. either way it doesn't hurt to provide written proof to avoid trouble if you make a claim in future.
it wouldn't be the first time an insurance company has said no we dont need proof then refused a claim because they never received any! it happened to me and being the dafty i am i never kept a copy of the email saying i didnt need to provide proof! |
