if ur car gets broken in to and they nick ur head unit, cds and sub and amp, and u claim through ur insurance do u loose ur no claims bonus?

Not necessarily, depends who you are insured with and the small print in your schedule. No claims protection can often allow up to 3 claims in 5 years without incurring extra after cost. |

if you claim they will take some years off the no claims. try and work out the cost of how much its worth vs how much they give back and how much more your insurance would be without asking the insurer.
generally minor incidents dont get reported. |

if there protected then with a few companys they may cover the audio equipment but sounds like a few quids worth so i would say not........ |

I'm sorry to hear that someone has broken into your car and stolen your stuff (I know what it feels like).
General, yes you will lose your NCD if you make a claim, unless it is protected of course. It's always worth seeing how much extra it would cost to protect your NCD when getting a quote as sometimes it's very cheap (once I had a quote that was cheaper if I protected my NCD than if I didn't).
Depending on who you are insured with and how many years NCD you have, your insurer may not reduce your NCD to 0, they may just remove a few years.
It may be cheaper not to claim through your insurance as you may end up paying more than the goods are worth through higher premiums. It may be cheaper to just replace the stolen goods yourself. |
