Since you are a household member and considered a regular user, you would have to be listed as a driver on their policy.
There will be a charge for this since you are an inexperienced driver. Depending on their insurance company, you/they may qualify for certain discounts, i.e good grades, driver's ed, no priors. |

no.... your parents policy should cover you since they gave you permission to drive their car. It is part of their policy, you should be listed on their policy if you are still living at home and are a minor or even a college student. The important thing is their permission to drive it. |

i dont know if it varies state to state but in KY you can drive on your parents insurance as long as you're listed under covered drivers. |

i was listed under my parents insurance but my name was never under the card. I got rear ended once and the cop was some how able to recognize that I was on it.
