Do you think it's wise to buy an extended warranty for a used financed car?

For some folks the policies arent worth it but for some people it is. I would have been really in a bind without it a couple times with my van when I didnt have the funds to pay up front. I was really relieved I had the extended warranty.

I bought a warranty and it's already paid itself off. And maybe this is just my bad luck but I've owned 2 Pontiacs and they were both junk.

Basically an extended warranty is a peace-of-mind insurance. It may or may not pay for itself but you will at least know that if something does happen, you have the warranty coverage for it.

If it is worth it or not is up to you to decide.

Buy an extended warranty. It can save you a lot of money and give you peace of mind. You won't have to buy one if the car was a Toyota. So, like the rest said you might want to trade it for one. But if you don't, buy the warranty. You might need it.

No, don't waste your money. Never buy the extended warranty. In the end, it usually costs you way more than what you would have paid had you run into a repair need.

We brought a brand new Toyota and we suppose to pick it up today. We did not even consider extended warranty.

But again, Toyota is a good reliable company. They don't usually break down.

from what i heard.... extended warranties are a waste of money for new cars but i don't know about used cars. but i would recomend not getting it because extended warranties are another way for the car seller to make more money.

Hi, dont buy the extended warranty for your pontiac,if you can trade it for a toyota there are very good cars and good on gas,it don't have to be a new,used cars are as good as new,I know because I bought a used toyota corolla 2007 and it's like brand new.
