I was looking at the site www.euautodocs.com the other day and they promise to get you a driving licence from Spain and a couple of other countries just by sending off you hard earned.I don't think it can be real but has anybody out there tried it?

Wouldn't try it. If you are not able to get a Driving Licence in your own country you are probably not fit to be on the roads. Just not worth the risk. |

Avoid these people, most of them are just scam merchants.

To pass your driving test in Spain you have to attend driver training school and sit a miminum number of lessons before you are thought capable of sitting the test, it's more stringent a process than in the UK, so these people are just scamming, if all you get is a provisional licence it's worthless since it's not transferable. |

I personally wouldn't take the chance, especially if you have to pay a lot of money for it.
Just go and take your test, at least then, if you are ever in an accident or need to show your Drivers Licence you know you won't have anything to worry about. |

Hahaha! Try to exchange a licence in Canada that is issued by a country you aren't from and just see what happens! Even if you move here from the same country the licence is from, there is not reciprocity with all countries in the EU. Germany and Britain only, and that doesn't include Northern Ireland. They can put disclaimers on their site all they want, it is definitely dodgy. |

It's easier to get a licence in some EC countries than it is in the UK. This site may get you a driving licence or they might just be a scam. Always be wary of sites offering something dodgy. The scammers assume you won't make a fuss if you feel guilty about it.
It's perfectly legal to get a driving licence overseas and exchange it for a UK one. However, if you do this with the intention of getting around a ban or points, you could be prosecuted. |
