Not necessarily, remember that auto insurance premium is based on your information, (age, gender, status, driving record, your car and coverage). Let's assume you and I drive the same car, that doenst mean we're both going to pay the same amount. Geico might be the cheapest in your case, but a different company might be the best one for me. My advice, called different places, make sure you give them all your current information. If you have any tickets, tell them, otherwise, you'll get a cheap quote over the phone, but once you get there, they'll look at your driving record and then everything might change. If you're not sure what's on your record, get a copy from the dmv, (in CA, it only costs you 5.00). Also, when you call, ask them what their broker fee is, you'll find out some agencies have a 200.00 broker fee, you, you can deffinately ask them to lower it to 50.00 or less, if they dont, move on to the next agency. Also, ask about any future costs, like, will they charge you to renew your policy after 1 year? Will they charge you to process a change in the future? and so on. Overall, just make sure you shop around, I heard Mercury has good rates, but again, it depends on your information. Hope this helps. |

Only if you are considered a high risk driver meaning you're young, you have a bad driving record, bad credit, or a lot of claims. Geico is a high risk company. If none of these things describe you I'd suggest Progressive or Allstate. |
