£48.50 - I should know; it took my son 4 attempts and he only passed last month! That's the practical, of course, and doesn't include the hire of the Driving School car if you're using it and the usual lesson before the test! Good luck! |

The practical driving L test in a car is: £48.50 for a test during normal working hours or £58.00 for evening/weekend test. (You will also have to pay for a lesson before test and the hire of the car if you have an instructor, average cost £20.00 per hour)
Theory test is £21.50 but will increases in September to £28.50. |

The theory is £21.50 (before 3rd September when it goes up to £28.50).
The practical for a car is £48.50 on a weekday or £58.00 for a weekend
Interestingly (or not) you can do a specialist driving test for a tractor for the same price!!!!
Prices for motorbikes are higher, being £60 weekday and £70 weekend.
If you've ever been disqualified then the test is loads more!!!!
And you have to provide a car of course.... |
