Think about the words, for a moment. "No Claims Bonus". If you make a claim you are no longer free of claims. It is possible, sometimes to protect that bonus if you consider it worth it.

If you had some NCB built up then you would lose a portion (or possibly all) of it unless it was "protected".
If you have no NCB then obviously you will not get any for the year you have the claim and it could well increase your next premium anyway.

You will need to ask your insurance company if it will increase the premium and shop around.
They all ask if you have had any claims in the past few years.

Unless you have insurance that lets you claim once a year or more, My mum does, Scottish General Accident.
Problem is that you would only get 10% per year plus any they credited you with for taking out the policy.
You would lose that and they will also load your premiums.
If you do not claim for it then you would expect the 10 or 20 % NCB.
but only you know what your car was worth?
Bear in mind if you go else where they will ask any claims in the last 5 years.

any claim wher an insirance company cannot recover the money they have spent from another insurance company or person etc then it will be classed as against urself

Only if you report it to your insurance company. Even if you file a claim and they deny it, it goes on your record that you filed a claim.

Well think about it, if it gets nicked will you make a claim or not, but your premium will be like a skyscraper.

Nowadays you can get a tracker, not a proper high tech expensive tracker but a tracker that does the job for under Â£130, you can get those steering wheels locks and gear locks to stop theives or at least put them off.

Yes, claiming on a policy for any reason affects your premiums in future, as it proves you are a risk. Other factors are considered, such as where your car is stored, and the area you live in, when assessing the risk of theft. Your age group and gender is considered for accident risk assessment, and the mileage you travel.

I disagree with much of the insurers methods of apportioning risk and premiums. The whole idea of insurance is the risk is bourne collectively.
