Does insurance cover it?

I got into a accident last week i rear ended a car when it was raining.
All passangers have claimed injuries and notified the
insurance company im worried the insurance will not cover it because i am un insured the vehicle is only insured for my mom i am not in her policy. Will farmers still pay for the damages?
should i say she let me borrow it or i took it withou permission?
what is the best thing to do?

You are not the customary driver of this vehicle. Since your mom gave you permission to use the car you would be a permissive driver and covered under the policy. The only exception is if your mom signed a waiver that there were no drivers under 25 in the household. Saying that you took the car without permission will not improve the situation and may even hurt it or you. Very likely Farmers will have to handle the claims up to the limits under the policy. In return, the least your mom can expect is for you to be added to the policy with a substantial additional premium. Worst case, they non renew the policy but there are hundreds of other companies out there.In the event that Farmers declines the claims the other party also has uninsured/underinsured coverage that will step in if needded.r

If you're not on your mom's insurance policy or any insurance policy, then the insurance won't pay. If you have your own car and insurance, then you can drive other people's cars with their permission even if you're not on their insurance. Basically, as long you have insurance of your own or you're on somebody's policy, you're covered.

If Farmers thinks your mom was driving, they'll cover it.

Even if you had permission from your mom, they won't cover it because your mom should of had you put on her policy. If you took the car without permission, that's on you.

It's important to note that if the other driver's insurance pays for the damages under their uninsured motorist coverage, they (the insurance company) can still sue you for what they had to pay out.

All motorists are required (in my state at least) to carry uninsured motorist coverage. They are covered on their own policy by that. However, you might be able to be sued for the deductibles their insurance does not pay, and uninsured motorist coverage is usually not very much, and if it will not cover all the costs, you will be legally responsible. Your mom in essence, because she did not add you to her insurance. You were driving uninsured, and that is illegal in every state that I know of. So you broke the law, too. If you took the car without your mom's permission, better not lie about it. She sure won't.
