Will tesco insurance charge to transfer my insurance from my original car to the courtesy car while it is being repaired, if so how much is it likely to cost?

I insured through Zurich with an insurance broker and have had a free courtesy car for 3 weeks (repairs delayed due to inclement weather).

The policy also includes legal expenses and breakdown assistance as standard - so why anyone would want to buy policies on-line is beyond me.

As you can see - when you need to claim under a policy - the price you paid for it is the least of your concerns.

The courtesy car should be insured through the bodyshops policy, you don't normally have to do anything.

You could have cover on your policy to drive any other car, as long as you don't own it and also have the owners permission, third party cover.
As the first answer states most times the body shop should arrange insurance.

Normally if you are fully comp your insurance will cover you for any coutesty car provided by the approved repairers whilst your car is being repaired. They will check your insurance policy & if there is any doubt you will be put on the repairers insurance & you will have to sign some paperwork before you take the courtesty car. You should not have any extra charges other than your excess which is normally paid to the repairers.
