My dad bought car and i putted my mother as main driver and dad as second driver, because it's cheaper for old woman than for old man, so i just want to find out does it matter who is first and second driver?

i bought my own car but to try getting cheaper insurance we decided to put policy in my mums name and me as second driver, no chance as car is registered to me, would have been fraud and found out would invalidate my insurance if ever needed to claim.

It does matter. The main driver MUST be the policy holder.
I am getting fed up repeating this.
The owner of the car DOES NOT NEED TO BE THE POLICY HOLDER. THE MAIN BLOODY DRIVER DOES. |

To reinforce vavavoom, the insurance must be in the name of the principal user, the other user being added as a named driver. If there ever is a claim and the insurers find out that dad always drives and mum hardly ever does, they could stand on their rights and revoke cover. |

The Log book holder/ Owner of the Vehicle has to be the Insurance Policy holder!. or the insurance ain't Valid.
If your mum is the log book holder and your dad is then declared as the Second driver but Main driver then it's a legal policy.
If he uses the car more and doesn't declare it your committing Fraud. |

I think it depends who is going to be driving the car more. if they are so old they can't sort out their insurance maybe they are too old to be driving!! |
