I am very sad because I got my first speeding ticket (I am 28 years old and married) and I want to know if I take the class if that will help not to raise that much my car insurance. They told me that the fine will not be erased from the records. thank you

You are correct. It will help cut your premiums down (approx. 5%) if your insurance company is like most companies. Sorry, it isn't more, but you can always check with your ins. company to see if this isn't the norm for them. Other discounts would include: Safety/security features on your vehicles, parking in a garage, combination of auto/home insurance, and more than one car on a policy.

The driving class will only take points off of your driving record. The insurance company charges for tickets received during the prior 3 to 5 yrs (depending on the state), not what the points are. So, if you take the class, it will not make a difference in your insurance cost. |
