Drivers Permit Questions?

I recently passed drivers ed and I'm planning to take my permit test at the CA DMV in Long Beach however I was just wondering if its faster to just go to the dmv and take my permit test instead of making an appointment as it told me to wait till april 17 for an appointment and I REALLY want to just get it over with.

Also where can I find the drivers handbook?

Nope you need to make an appointment in your state..

With the state of the CA DMV right now, walk-in's usually end up walking out without ever being seen that day since they are placed at the bottom & all appointments for that day are seen first.

It's best to call & make an appointment.

I vote for waiting for an appt. on 4/17! More of my students pass their written test after taking the time to really read the DMV handbook - not just skim it.
Take the week to read sections of the handbook AND do the practice tests on the DMV website.
The DMV is experiencing a HIGH failure rate on the written test as teens complete Drivers Ed. and erroneously think that information is on the test.
INCORRECT ~ the written test is based upon the handbook ONLY.
