Driving Permit problem?

Okay so,
I got my permit on 8/20/08 and today I went to the dmv to take my behind the wheel driving test for my liscense and it said my permit expired 4-18-09. Now they say I have to redo everything; take my written test and do my 6 months again. Is there anyway to avoid all this?

6 months from august is february my friend.
well i know its expired now is there a way i can call them to see if i dont have to do the 6 months again.

Permits are valid for one year, so I'm not clear as to why it was "expired" on 4-18-09. Did you apply for your permit back in April of '08 and not complete the app.? That shouldn't affect the expiration date, however.

BTW-You won't have to wait 6 months again...

If your permit is expired it's expired. Did you not check the date on it?

Also 6 months from August 20th is May 20th.
