I am thinking of doing my driving test again and would like to know what the process and costs are.
I am from Belgium and have done my theory and driving lessons there before, around 4 years ago. My provisional has run out and since i am living in the UK now, I would like to go for my license here.
I am not to sure what the process over here is (I do know it includes a theoretical, hazard and practical test) and what the general costs are (including insurance and so on...)
I am 22 years old and I would be buying a little 1.1 car.
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Driving in the UK can be very expensive due to high insurance costs & rising fuel costs but ill break it all down for you.
Driving Lessons £22/hour
Theory £45
Practical Test £50
Car Tax £130/year

THe best thing you could do is to talk to a reputable driving school in you're area. EG BSM or the AA

Firstly you apply for a provisional licence, the forms you can download from the DVLA website or get from the postoffice. When you get them back you can then start instructions and take your theory and hazard perception test. When you are up to test standard then take your practicle test and that is it. |
