Is it ok to use a passport photo that's been printed out on a home computer for your driving licence application?

No they won't accept it. It has to be a clear genuine pass port photo. |

if its on photo paper then yes. By photo paper I mean the glossy shiny stuff, not standard a4 paper.
Just make sure its clear and fits their other requirements for like not wearing sunglasses or hats or whatever.
If in doubt, save it and get it printed off on one of those Kodak machines in the chemists or photshop, they will be fine and about 20p each I think. |

Lisa, you don't need to print one off!
If you have a UK passport the DVLA can upload your picture for use on your Driving License direct from the Passport Office.
Details will be on the application notes somewhere. |

No, bring your passport in it's entirety. Photocopies and computer copies are not acceptable, original documents are required. |

Hi - Yes you can use a photo that has been printed by a home PC.
Your photograph must be colour and size 45mm x 35mm. It must have been taken recently and be a true likeness of you showing your full face, with no hat, helmet or sunglasses, although if you normallt wear glasses you can have them on. It must be taken against a plain, and evenly lit background |

As long it is only a Head Shot Photo on a white background, and obviously passport photo size, should be okay. Also should be on high grade photo paper..
