So I am just trying to prepare myself for when I get a car and have insurance and all that crap...
What are the monthly/yearly payments on a car?
Insurance?
Gas-average amount a average car uses..?
maintenance?
and whatever else I need to know...
also what is a good cheap car to get? maybe ever a small truck..

Nick- I know all that.. I'm wondering costs...like give me prices of what I will be paying every month. I want to start planning on what I will earn- what will leave my pocket-and for what, and what I will be able to pt away in a savings if any!!

There's no way we can answer any of those questiions here, since you forgot to give your age, gender, location, type of car you want...all things that will affect those costs. Monthly payments depend on what you buy, how you negotiate the price, the down payment, the interest rate...Even if we knew those items, we couldn't predict. You'll just have to research those things yourself. |

As far as insurance goes, your age is definitely a huge factor at this point and also what kind of car you eventually get. I work for a large insurance company and im sure you can understand anyone who barely gets their DL is more than likely inexperienced behind the wheel and a greater risk to insurance companies. When you get to be 22 or 23 is when you will start to see your rates go down and insurance get overall cheap. Monthly payments will depend on if you are putting a down payment and how much will be left to finance. Interest will acrue over the course of however many years you will be financing the vehicle. Try and finance the vehicle with a low interest rate if possible so you end up paying more for the car than the interest. |
