If you phone up every morning as early about an hour after they open just ask them do they have any cancellations!! also driving instructors get notified about any cancellations that arise too, so if you ask your local driving instructor to keep an eye out for you too. Good luck for your son x

There is no limit on how many times you can move a test date forwards, although there is a limit on how many times you can move it back.

Incidentally you don't fail your test because someone cuts you up. Someone is lying or didn't understand what the fault was.

Your son may have been cut up as a result of annoying another road user by driving slowly or being hesitant, there must be more to this than you are saying. Possibly you son was innocent & was cut up by someone else but then responded in an inappropriate manner & the examiner had to take action. There is definitely more to this than meets the eye.

You should tell us what state/country you're in.

Is he not allowed to schedule his own test. Tell him to just study a lot more .What is a "prat" ?

I think there is a minimum time you have to wait between failing a test and re-sitting one, although I am not sure how long.

your son obviously didn't tell you all the facts
his reaction must have been quite bad for the instructor to have failed him
the limit on a retest is usually three months
this is so he can learn how to deal with the fault that arose during the test
tell your son it's not embarrassing and to tell you the truth seeing as your his parent

he's the prat* for hiding behind the lie
