Driving with Expired Registration?

I was driving in Newark NJ but live in South Jersey, I got pulled over and had an expired registration card that expired just a month ago 2/09 got pulled over 3/25/09. Also I had my expired insurance card in the card but I had an insurance agent and had my mother willing to fax over proof of my current insurance card.

I got 2 tickets for the insurance and registration also they towed my car I had to get a hotel and call out of work the next day got my registration renewed and got my car back.

Is there anyway I can fight these 2 tickets and possible get money back for towing fees? Because in the past I only receive a ticket for driving with expired registration not towed away

show insurance proff and they drop that one...the no registration..you r guilty pay it...the tow bill.. its all....yours...end of story..

It would seem quite simple, pay your registration when it's due!
This is a wake up call!
