Driving without valid license?

We just found out that one of our employees has been driving our company vehicle for four years without a valid license. Was he breaking any law?

Yes he was breaking the law. You are both lucky because had he been pulled over for a moving violation, he probably would've been put in jail and the company car towed and impounded, which is expensive. I hope he got fired!

Yea, if he wasn't breaking laws none of us would need a license. He could have gotten arrested or gotten your vehicle impounded.

Yes, without a doubt. YOU weren't breaking the law, unless you continue to enable him to do so now that you know the truth.

yes he was breaking the law. but the compnay can't get mad because those are things they should check out before they hire someone.

Yes, driving without a license is a criminal act. Also your insurance probably won't cover him if there were an accident of other problem because he is not allowed to operate a motor vehicle without a license.

I would say yes. My question is why does he not have a license could it be because it was taken away and if so then he definately was breaking the law. He is lucky he didn't get caught.

Yes. Not having a valid liscense is breaking the law all in itself. Your company could have been brought to its knees had he killed someone or had an accident.

It is unlawful to drive without a valid drivers license - the sad thing is your company is LIABLE. How can your insurance company and hr departments not notice that for 4 years.
