Finding which car insurance co. to pay for getting my license back.?

I had my license suspended and I now have the money to get it back. I live in TN and I'm having trouble. I haven't gotten a letter from the insurance co. or any info at all and I can't remember which insurance provider I need to pay. I've called Nashville where the main office is and also the DMV where I live. They can't even tell me what I'm supposed to do. How do I get my license back if I can't find who to pay. Does anyone in TN know what I can do to find out which provider I owe. Please help.

Your best bet will probably be to start over with another company, unless you can find out from canceled checks or bank statements who you were formerly insured with. Check the Yellow Pages under Insurance, and look for agents who offer SR-22 coverage, since you may have to have that form.

Look on the card in your car that you carry for proof of insurance.

Your insurance company should have nothing to do with getting your license back. That is a DMV issue. You have to go back there and ask more questions, or they must have a website you can check for additional information.
