Any tips? Im a little nervous..

Easy to say, but try to relax, listen to your instructor, and don't expect to be able to drive right away.
It takes practice & patience, but you'll get there.

Hopefully you have met your teacher first and he/she seems to be someone you will be able to learn from .I have been trying to learn myself over the past year and my teacher is good crack. You need to feel comfortable with this person because there are going to be tough times ahead. Enjoy your first session and the best of luck to you.

Lucky you. You are just gathering new information. To put this in perspective and get you to relax, just be grateful it isn't your road test where you have to sit beside a total stranger for about twenty minutes and show all you know. - Chris!

I can tell you from experiance that shouting die granny die when you drive past an old woman will make your instructor sh*t himself

Relax, listen to your instructor, ask questions,if you don't understand something say so,your instructor should then reiterate(possibly in a different way)what the subject matter is.
Don't expect miracles. Expect some lessons were you feel you are on a plateau and learn nothing also expect on some lessons you will regress. Above all enjoy the experience and learn to drive for life not just to pass a test.

There's really nothing to worry about, the instructor has a lot of control of the vehicle and he/she won't make you do anything that he/she doesn't think you'll be able to handle. But taking the plunge is always good, it's all about gradual confidence building, and as you go you will build it up and occasionally knock it back down a bit when you make mistakes, even up until your test. But when you get that big ol' pass form it'll feel great! Just concentrate and enjoy it, it's fine.

Jump in and try everything the instructor says. Do it without question.
Dont lose heart if you cant do it. Everyone else who can drive has been in your situation.

As a qualified Driving Instructor in Medway Kent I regularly meet new pupils for their first driving lessons. The key thing to remember is that both of you should be slightly nervous but that honesty will allow your instructor to guide you further and faster. Listen but ask lots of questions to find out as much as you can. Any further help I can be email me djdaveroo@yahoo.co.uk

I remember my first driving lesson i was scared too.
Just relax nothing bad will happen your in good hands, Your driver will take you to a quite place and then take you threw stopping and starting nothing major for your first lesson. You don't have to do anything you don't feel comfortable doing.

Enjoy it and just think before you know it you'll have your first car.

StingRay
Just relax and pay attention. You can't fail a driving lesson, so chill.
