When I bought my car and the man gave me my title (months laters) he used white out on the back and wrote my info (which was wrong ) over it. now both stickers are expired and the man wont talk to me. what should i do????

A title with white out on it is no longer valid. Hopefully the person you bought the car from is the legal owner, and his name is on the front of the title. If he took a title that was assigned to him and used white out to replace your name with his, you have a serious problem.
If he is the legal titled owner of the vehicle, he can take the title to DMV and get a duplicate issued. If he is not on the title, the legal titled owner (the name on the title) would have to apply for a duplicate, the seller would then have to pay any taxes and fees due and have a title issued in his name. He would then have to assign the title to you!
Seeing as he already has the money, he does not want to deal with this! You may need to file suit against him. Unless you have a copy of the canceled check made out to him, or a receipt signed by him, he may deny even selling you the car.
This is why you should only buy and pay for a car (other than from a licensed dealer) if you see the title and the sellers ID, and are sure that the seller is the legal owner.
You may have lost your money and have a car that you do not legally own!

The dmv will not accept a title with white out on it. He may be able to sign another section on the back of the title. The process varies from state to state.
Take the title to DMV and see what they tell you to do. I'd be very surprised if they accept the title as it is. |

Sounds like a court Issue to me. Using white out on a title completely voids the title. I would contact an attorney. |
