we lost the car and are trying to find either (a) the car (b) the license plate number or (c) the car...
any suggestions?

.I know you can lose almost any thing.When I was younger.A friend and I were on a trail ride in San Antonio Texas.we had been drinking and having a ball. We decided to board our horses over night we set off to party in the big town of S.A. The next day we were going to get our horses,Saddles,Horse trailer.Feed and Hay and head home 200 miles away. We forgot where we left them. Did not have an address and could not remember a thing.After driving around and around the freeway trying to see something that looked familiar. Nothing worked . We went home and had to put an add in the San Antonio newspaper. 2 weeks later we went and got our horses. Ever thing was alright but,we had a big boarding bill. So, you can lose anything. |

you should remember the license plate #. if not, do you have any pictures of it with the plate # in view? Other than that, the only other thing I can say to you is...How do you LOSE a CAR? Report it as stolen. |

Even if the car was still being paid for, you should have the title for it somewhere - check wherever you stash your important documents for this, it will have the VIN number, which you can use to report the car missing/stolen.
If you cannot find this, call the county (/parish/borrough/whatever you live in)'s DMV (/DOT/whatever you have where you live) and give them your name and driver's license number. They will have your license plate and other car information on file. You might be required to come down to the DMV/DOT/whatever's registration office to get the information, so they can check you against your photo ID, but chance are they'll give you the information over the phone. |
