Do not settle until you have had proper legal advise.
The insurance are trying it on, a back injury could get you thousands in compensation not hundreds. |

That sounds awfully low considering you have suffered so much. A friend of mine got over £1000 for whiplash which lasted a few days !!
It may be worth consulting another Claims company to get a second opinion as it could be that the company that you are currently in negotiations with is taking a fee. |

This is far too trivial an amount. You have not said who 'they' are -is the other car driver or their insurers? I presume that you are insured - whoever your insurers are should be taking up the case on your behalf. This will not cost you anything - going to an independent lawyer may well do. |

DO NOT SIGN A THING FROM THIS GUY OR HIS INSURANCE!!!!!!!!!!
Get a lawyer and sue his insurance company. They are trying to screw you out of lots and lots of money. |

You can go back the legal team dealing with the personal injury claim and ask for more they will then put it to the third party insurance company. If you are to exaplin the long term affects this gives you a greater chance, you dont have to settle for the first offer |

Do not settle yet. I would wait until you have been to the dr more and you are feeling lots better. The reason they want to settle is because they don't want you to realize how much pain you are in and that you could be in pain for a long time.. so they are trying to settle now before you get serious. I waited about 6-7 months before I settled and made sure I was feeling much better. I was also in a lot of pain. They tried to get me to settle for under 1000, I ended up getting over 7 thousand. |

I live in America and I was offered half that amount in pounds..(I was offered $750 american, which is less than your offer in pounds)
THAT IS NOT ENOUGH
My medical bills were $3,000 (that's the equivelant of 5,000 pounds or more)
GET AN ATTORNEY
You do NOT know how this injury will affect you. |

No, don't settle for that amount and don't settle until you have your ducks in row. In other words until you're sure you won't have future health problems. You should get about 2.5 times your medical bills for pain and suffering. |

Question 1. Have you contacted a local solicitor who specialises in personal injury claims? ( U.K)
Q. 2 If not , Why not? You have up to 3 years to take proceedings, but the sooner the better. The 3 years is if it needs to go to court.
Go for the no win no fee option.
If you are dealing with the defendants insurance company, stop immediately and refer to Q.1. All insurance companies will try it on to get away with getting you to settle for a pittance. £ 700 is what you get for a broken finger nail!!
I have recent experience of the procedure due to being in a serious no fault R.T.A. The insurance company wanted me to settle for a paltry £15k but my solicitor fought and I was awarded a respectable £95k |

NO WAY ACCEPT THIS PALTRY AMOUNT.!! MY DAUGHTER WAS HIT FROM BEHIND BY ANOTHER WHO FULLY ADDMITTED LIABILITY. HER INSURANCE COMPANY SORTED OUT SOLICITORS FOR HER AND HER PASSENGERS. SHE HAD WHIPLASH EXPECTED TO SUBSIDE COMPLETELY WITHIN 3 MONTHS. SHE RECEIVED 2272 QUID.! 700.? THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE. EITHER GET ONTO YOUR INSURANCE CO AND ASK THEM TO REPRESENT YOU OR GO TO ONE OF THE INJURY 4 YOU LAWYERS THAT YOU SEE ADVERTISED. WHY NOT TRY ONE OF THE TELLY.? I WOULD FULLY EXPECT AN AMOUNT OF AROUND THE 3000 MARK AT THE VERY LEAST..POSSIBLY CONSIDERABLY MORE.!. YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM SCIATICA....COULD LAST YEARS.! GO FOR IT..YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE. |

Go to one of the no win no pay ambulance chaser lawyers. This is their bread and butter - especially when the other side has admitted liability. |
